Default Leadership

Leadership's bonus reads as follows currently:

You gain 1 Energy for every ally affected by one of your Shouts or Chants (maximum 1 Energy for every 2 ranks).

My proposed change is simply:

You gain 1 Energy for every ally affected by one of your Shouts or Chants (maximum 1 Energy for every 2 ranks). This Energy is doubled if you are in an area with a maximum party size of 4 or less.

I see this as opening the paragon up a little bit in Random and Team Arenas and Alliance Battles, as well as in PvE areas in the early game (thinking of Hard Mode here) without really any negative consequences. I'd like to hear your comments on this, though.

I am sorry if this has been posted before and the idea discarded. I did a search of this forum and found nothing talking about this directly in the newer threads.

I find them far from overpowered in low player count areas. This would not increase the maximum gained (still 6 energy at 12 leadership), you would just gain that 6 energy instead of 4 without pets or minions.

Where would you have a maximum party size of 3 or less besides a few PvE solo quests and Tilhark Orchard mission?

EDIT:

I have to repeat this: in areas with a MAXIMUM party size of 4. Not if you take 4 member parties in a higher zone.

Paragons already have infinate energy. This would also be imbalanced for RA/TA.

XD.

See the paragon skills:

"Earn 1 energy for every ally (Max 4)
"Earn 20 health for every ally (Max 80)

Most paragon skills are thought for 4 party members.

Beign with 8 it's just a plus to that.

"Make Your Time!" is the only one like that as far as I can tell.

They're underpowered. I hardly see a Paragon make use of themselves in situations. In fact, I'm sure if you search through threads you can find those few posts about people wanting updates for Paragons.

Paragons are overpowered in their offensive capabilities, coupled with strong defensive powers. Of course, for it to be worth it, you need to be in a large team setting (which most of the game is anyway).

Eh, I've never seen very many helpful Paragons. Usually, they die and sometimes by my own hand.

Their issue isn't energy, their issue is having bad design and leadership having a bunch of random skills with no direction.

Yeah, I mean, how useful is ranged sword-class DPS with warrior armor who can lessen damage by 40%, improve criticals by 50%, and grant +100AL to party members, all on the same bar?

Not very, considering it lasts for 1-3 seconds, and can last up to 1 whole attack.

Are you playing the same game as me?
Oh, I'm sorry, Save Yourselves can be kept up indefinitely for 2/3 of the game.

Racthoh, get your little paragon ass in here and explain why Paragons are already powerful enough.

Managing your energy in 4-man areas is pretty much the only challenge to being a para, and it's not even that hard. Leadership is powerful enough as it is.
